Talent Hunt Program is
a purely merit and need based scholarship program offered by HEC and funded by
USAID for developing countries. The aim of this program is to provide financial
support to talented female students who belong to middle class families and
want to chase their dreams of higher education at top ranked universities in
Pakistan.
Talent Hunt Program
also aims to offers preparations for female students in their entry tests after
Matriculation and intermediate in order to help them to get admissions in top
ranked medical colleges, engineering universities and general universities in
the country.
While the HEC is all
set to announce the date of opening the applications for this program very
soon, here is all about the program you need to know and get ready when the
portal for online application is open.
Eligibility
Criteria:
v
Nationality: All applicants must
be female Pakistani or AJK nationals.
v
Family income: Must belong to a low-income family (<50,000/month).
v
Academics:
§
80% or more i
n inter part-I
(Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, and FCS)
§
70% or more in inter part-I (Social,
General Science, Arts and Humanities)
v Preferences: § Female from rural or less advanced areas,
§
Differently-abled students will be given
preference.
Selection
Criteria:
A committee will be
furnished for the scrutiny of all the applications to determine a unified
criteria for the selection process.
A merit list will be
formulated based on these indicators of the applicants;
- Academic record.
- Need of the applicant.
- District of the applicant.
At the end of the
process, HEC will issue call letters to all those female students ranked top in
the merit list subjected to the availability of seats.
